Professor Laura Diaz Anadon holds the chaired Professorship of Climate Change Policy at the University of Cambridge, where she directs the Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (CEENRG) and is a Fellow of St. John’s College. Professor Anadon is also a long-standing Research Associate at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School. Professor Anadon works at the intersection of engineering, economics and public policy and focusses on understanding the drivers and impacts of technological innovation in the energy sector and on the role of government policy to help meet climate mitigation goals. Her research also helps understand the extent to which different policies and technologies help advance other goals related to development and a just transition. She is a Lead Author of the IPCC Working Group III on Mitigating Climate Change and has various policy roles, including being elected Founding Member and Vice-Chair of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change. Her scholarship has recently been recognized by a Distinguished Visiting Professorship from Tsinghua University, a Senior Keynes Fellowship, and the Fundacion Banco Sabadell Prize for Economic Research.
