Dr. David Robinson is a micro-economist with over thirty years of experience focused on public policy, especially in the energy sector. For the last 15 years, he has been writing and speaking about how to facilitate energy decarbonization. He has advised public and private sector clients in the UK, the EU, China and Latin America.

Among his academic affiliations, Dr. Robinson is a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford Climate Policy and Senior Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies. He was previously a Research Affiliate at the Oxford Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

He is currently President of David Robinson & Associates and an Academic Advisor to The Brattle Group and to other international consulting organizations. He was previously a Director of NERA Economic Consulting, where he was a Director in the London office and then opened and was responsible for the firm’s offices in Spain and in Italy. In 2007-2011, he opened and ran the Madrid office of The Brattle Group and led Brattle’s international business practice. He has also been a consultant to the International Energy Agency.

David has Canadian, British and Spanish nationality. He has lived in Madrid for thirty years and is married to Maria Gloria Andrade.
