Theofania joined Climate Strategies as a Programme and Networks Associate in July 2023. She holds a master’s degree in Public International Law from Utrecht University, specializing in oceans, the environment, and sustainability. Her thesis examined the role of the law of the sea in preserving the maritime entitlements of Small Island Developing States from the effects of sea-level rise. She has also previously worked on sustainable development and environmental education programs and has gained first-hand knowledge in the EU’s policy-making while working for the Permanent Representation of Greece to the European Union.
