Charmaine joined Climate Strategies as a Projects Associate in January 2026. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (specialisation in International Relations), both from the University of Amsterdam.

During her Master’s programme, Charmaine conducted field research in Kenya, examining the impacts of public microfinance on women’s economic empowerment. Prior to joining Climate Strategies, Charmaine worked as an ESG and Production Assistant at Suitsupply, supporting sustainability, ESG, and compliance efforts. She also interned with GIZ’s Liaison Office for International Donors in Frankfurt, supporting co-financing and donor engagement processes.
