Climate Strategies in partnership with Wise Europa, the European Regional Framework for Cooperation, and Impact Hub Praha designed a Post-Coal Future Lab (PCFL). The PCFL had two streams, a Main Lab and Mini Labs.

Find out more about PCFL in this EIT Climate-KIC article.

The Main Lab aimed to ease collaboration, collective problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing among affected people to achieve a just transition. It also aimed to build capacity  around just transitions and systemic transformation. The focus will be on selected countries in Southern, Central, and Eastern Europe.

The regional Mini Labs aimed to bring together diverse stakeholders in Poland (Silesia & Wielkopolska), Czechia (Moravian-Silesian Region), and Greece (Western Macedonia). They aim to ease dialogue, exchange knowledge, and establish a community of practice. They also aimed to identify challenges to just transitions and systemic transformation and develop collective solutions as to how to tackle these challenges.

The project was funded by EIT Climate-KIC and throughout the project there was  close collaboration between the PCFL consortium and other Climate-KIC projects.
