The Grantham Research Institute (LSE) and the Grantham Institute (Imperial) hosted this seminar on climate finance in April 2012. Building on a recent Special Issue in the journal Climate Policy, the seminar brought together academics, policy makers and private sector actors. It provided an opportunity for practitioners and leading researchers to discuss the state of knowledge on issues such as climate financing needs, sources of funds, the governance of funds and ways to attract private finance. The programme featured keynote addresses by Nicholas Stern, Chairman of the Grantham Research Institute, and Andrew Steer, Special Envoy on Climate Change at the World Bank.
