From 6 to 16 June, governments and civil society meet in Bonn to negotiate and prepare for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Egypt. Key themes in the climate talks will include concrete steps to implement countries’ climate pledges and boosting climate finance.

Climate Strategies team members will also attend. We will present first findings from our Net-Zero Political Economy project. The research teams from Brazil, China, Nigeria, India and Indonesia aim to pin down short-term opportunities to speed up the net-zero transition in these countries.

We will also convene representatives from organisations such as the World Bank, IMF, IEA and economic researchers. Organised as part of the EEIST project, the roundtable event will discuss climate policy and modelling needs. Read a summary in this blog post.
