This event presents a multi-model assessment of current implemented policies and ambitions on climate outcomes and proposes ways to strengthen ambition.
Together with DIW Berlin (SNAPFI Project) and LSE (Just Transition Finance Lab at The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment) , we are organizing an invite-only dinner for 20 guests at COP28. The dinner will provide space for trusted dialogue with a select group of leaders, experts and influencers to identify priorities for COP28 itself and for renewed action in 2024.
This event will bring together high-level stakeholders from policy, industry, labour and youth to discuss just and equitable ways to achieve the net-zero transition and build the workforce of tomorrow exploring current and future workforce dynamics and sharing best practices for job creation and green economic development in the most affected regions.
This event will explore pathways to support the design of future NDCs and implementation of climate policies for the post-2030 period, consistent with the Paris Agreement and net-zero targets.

This workshop aims to bring together global partners and stakeholders under the banner of COP28 to build strategies and plans for further collaboration on the just transition from oil and gas across participants.
This panel event will bring together and share cutting-edge research and analysis exploring key dimensions of the just transition from oil and gas dependency, and the role that different actors must play in planning for a timely and equitable transition away from oil and gas production and use.
Hear from leading researchers and experts in the field of climate-trade policy, as they discuss the prospects and limitations of international cooperation related to BCAs. This event will also launch our project’s final report Bridging the Divide: Assessing the Viability of International Cooperation on Border Carbon Adjustments.
As part of the official UNFCCC programme at COP28, this side event will bring together policymakers, non-party actors, community leaders, and research experts, with an emphasis on perspectives from the Global South, indigenous communities, women and youth. Participants will discuss the upcoming negotiations on the UNFCCC Work Programme on Just Transitions with the aim of catalysing ambition and implementation.
An opportunity to hear how world-leading scientists have successfully collaborated to develop original, cutting-edge modelling solutions to decarbonise the global energy sector at pace, with live case studies from the UK, EU, China and the Global South.
